Irina Khakamada: Caucasus countries should combine efforts to resolve problems
Turkey should reconcile Russia to Georgia, a Russian economist and politician said.

"Turkey and Russia have much in common. Bearing the EU and U.S. a grudge, both countries can do a good job together," Irina Khakamada told Cihan news agency.

Turkey can facilitate settlement of regional problems, according to her.

"Turkish President Abdullah Gul's visit to Yerevan was an important step for establishment of peace and stability in the region. Ankara can also mediate problems between Armenia and Azerbaijan," she said.

"If Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Turkey combine efforts, all problems will be resolved," Khakamada said.
