A political dialogue between the authorities and Armenian National Congress (ANC) implies discussion of crucial issues rather than extraordinary presidential or parliamentary elections, said a spokesman for the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).

As Eduard Sharmazanov told a news conference in Yerevan, there are no legal or political reasons for snap elections in Armenia.

Summing up the outcomes of Armenia’s political life in spring, Sharmazanov characterized them as constructive, aimed at establishment of harmony in the country.

“In his May 28 speech, Armenian President suggested a new political agenda, specifically stressing the importance of personal and civilian rights on the same line with political ones,” he said.
