Armenians prefer to celebrate New Year in the countryside

Rest for four Armenian residents on average totaled $2000-3000 during holidays, according to the chairman of the Armenian Hotel Association.

Hakob Hakobyan related the aforesaid particularly to the hotels in Dilijan, Tsaghkadzor, Aghveran and Sevan.

He further explained boosting of the domestic tourism in December by Armenians’ preference to celebrate New Year in the countryside, despite high hotel prices.

Meanwhile, head of the Association of Tour Operators of Armenia Marine Kpryan attributed the small number of those wishing to celebrate winter holidays abroad to lack of advertisement and New Year celebration program.
