Azerbaijan arrests Karabakh civilian who got lost in August

PanARMENIAN.Net - The State Security Service of Azerbaijan has arrested a resident of Nagorno-Karabakh, Rashid Beglaryan, who got lost back in August, local media reported.

Beglaryan has also been also charged within a case initiated by Azerbaijan over the “Khojaly genocide”. Prior to that, he was accused of illegally crossing the border.

Beglaryan got lost and found himself in territory controlled by Azerbaijan back in August. The incident occurred near the village of Aghavno. According to the Armenian side, while drunk, he lost his way. Later, Yerevan appealed to the European Court to protect the rights of the Karabakh civilian.
