Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks in “Saving Mr Banks” clip, featurettes (video) November 9, 2013 - 12:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Saving Mr Banks has released its first clip, Digital Spy said. Director John Lee Hancock's film has also released two featurettes with interviews with Emma Thompson, Tom Hanks and members of the film's crew. The clip shows the first meeting between writer PL Travers (Thompson) and Walt Disney (Hanks). The first featurette shows the cast and crew discussing their work on the upcoming Disney movie. The second focuses on Thompson's performance as the notoriously frosty Mary Poppins creator. The film centres around Disney's attempts to convince the writer to allow him to create the popular musical. Travers was reluctant to see her very personal work adapted by the filmmaker, and was very critical during the process. Rachel Griffiths, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Bradley Whitford, and Colin Farrell will also feature in the movie. Saving Mr Banks will open in the UK on November 29 and in the U.S. on December 20.
