Adrien Brody in Cannes for Sarik Andreasyan-helmed “American Heist”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Adrien Brody and producer Vladimir Poliakov are in Cannes to present footage to buyers from “American Heist,” a remake of 1959 Steve McQueen starrer “The Great St. Louis Bank Robbery”, Variety said.

The film, which is directed by Sarik Andreasyan, follows two troubled brothers who get tangled up in a doomed bank heist. Brody stars alongside Hayden Christensen and Akon.

Pic is one of an 11-strong slate at Glacier Films, which launched at Cannes last year. The company is showing footage from three projects; the others are zombie comedy “Cooties,” which stars Elijah Wood, and “Lady Bathory,” starring Svetlana Khodchenkova (“The Wolverine”), about the 16th-century serial killer.

Brody presented the footage from his pic at an event hosted by Roskino and Renovatio Entertainment, at which Glacier also unveiled its next pic, “The Tank,” which revolves around six people entering an isolation tank designed to simulate the trip to Mars.
