Greek FM hopes for Cyprus resolution in 2008

PanARMENIAN.Net - Though Greece and Greek Cyprus have close ties, the island state isn't under Athens' protection, Greek Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis stated. She said, no solution to the Cyprus issue is in the offing this year. "But I am hopeful about 2008. In the wake of the Greek Cypriots' 2004 rejection of the Annan plan it is no longer being considered. We work for reunification and coexistence on the island," the Greek FM underscored, Turkish Star newspaper reports.
