Yerevan delegation to discuss healthcare ties in Marseille![]() October 11, 2025 - 12:20 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A delegation from the Yerevan Municipality will travel to Marseille, France, from October 14 to 18 to discuss cooperation in the field of healthcare. The visit was approved by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan. The delegation includes Deputy Mayor Sargis Madatyan, Head of the Health Department Davit Karapetyan, the mayor’s assistant Lena Melkonyan, leading foreign relations specialist Nora Harutyunyan, and Director of Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center Hovhannes Zohrabyan. The visit is being held at the invitation of Michel Rubirola, First Deputy Mayor of Marseille. In May 2025, the 30-year partnership between Yerevan and Marseille was revitalized with the signing of a joint declaration establishing a sister-city relationship. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
