ARMENIAN PRESIDENT INVITED MIKHAIL SAAKASHVILI TO YEREVAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - January 25, upon completion of the inauguration ceremony Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili received in Tbilisi Armenia's FM Vardan Oskanian. As reported by the press service of the RA MFA, during the conversation M. Saakashvili confirmed the determination of the Georgian leadership to impart a new impulse to the Georgian-Armenian relationship in all the directions and, in part, in the economic sphere, attracting attention to the possibilities that have not been realized so far. The importance of frequent contacts and consultations at all the levels in view of activation of bilateral relations was as well mentioned. In the course of the meeting V. Oskanian handed M. Saakashvili Armenian President Robert Kocharian's message congratulating him with the assumption of the post and maintaining the invitation to Yerevan. The same day V. Oskanian met with Georgian parliament head Nino Burdzhanadze and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
