On June 24, around 10:50 pm, soldier Armen Avetisyan, 19, died in a frontline position of a military unit in the eastern direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact. He was fatally injured in Azeri attack. An investigation is underway.

On June 25, the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree to posthumously award a medal “For Service in Battle” to Armen Avetisyan, for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state borders, the press service of the Artsakh Republic President reported.
