A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded on March 24 at 3:37 p.m. local time (11:37 a.m. GMT) by Armenia’s Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The epicenter was located 8 kilometers north of Spitak, at a depth of 10 kilometers. The seismic intensity at the epicenter reached 3–4 on the MSK scale.
Tremors with a magnitude of 3 were felt in Spitak and in the villages of Shenavan, Arevashogh, and Karadzor in the Lori Province.
The coordinates of the epicenter were 40.90°N latitude and 44.28°E longitude.
