Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Congolese Deputy Prime Minister Guylain Nyembo Mbwizya discussed cooperation in the supply of raw diamonds during a meeting held in the United Arab Emirates.
The Armenian side expressed interest in developing stable and predictable supply routes.
Papoyan emphasized the importance of potentially signing an intergovernmental agreement in a government-to-government (G2G) format, which could serve as a foundation for long-term collaboration between diamond industries in Congo and Armenia.
“We are not seeking short-term profit but a stable and mutually beneficial partnership based on trust and shared value,” Papoyan stated.
During the meeting, the minister also presented the “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, describing it as a key project for fostering expanded regional and international economic cooperation.
