
In 2025, Armenia continued expanding its diplomatic presence by establishing relations with three more countries, the Foreign Ministry said.
On May 14, diplomatic relations were established with Solomon Islands; on August 31, with Pakistan; and on November 12, with Lesotho.
Armenia currently maintains diplomatic relations with 186 countries.
In May 2025, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated in Lachin that, allegedly, “Azerbaijan had been attacked by Armenia” and that “Turkey and Pakistan stood by Azerbaijan like a mountain.”
