Exhibition on Berlin Wall fall 20th anniversary launched in YSU
Yerevan State University (YSU) is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Berlin Wall fall 20th anniversary.
The opening ceremony was attended by German Ambassador to Armenia Hans-Jochen Schmidt, RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan, French Ambassador to Armenia Serge Smessov as well as diplomats, university professors and students.
20 posters featuring numerous photos on the fall of Berlin Wall are displayed.
"The citizens of the German Democratic Republic had enough will to accomplish a peaceful revolution. It is through their efforts that Germany was reunited," Ambassador Schmidt said.
RA Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan, for her part, said that Berlin Wall fall turned a dream of united, peaceful and stable Europe into reality.
