U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Matthew Bryza said the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs are arriving in the region at the beginning of the next week.
He said they will mull the basic principles and a way to address the parties' concerns voiced at the Kazan meeting.
"The OSCE Minsk Group is looking for ways to sustain momentum and energize Karabakh settlement process." he said on Friday, Oct 21 in Baku.
Regarding the U.S. meditation, he said Deputy Secretary of State William Burns's visit is an evidence of U.S. attempts to move the Minsk Process forward.
"Our position is that it is important to finalize the basic principles and then move on to negotiations immediately on the final peace agreement," he said. "Clearly, military settlement to the conflict is unacceptable as well as the status quo. So we need to accelerate the negotiations," Trend News quoted him as saying.
